Change of Registered Office
March 17, 2009
Not content with one of our old clients going into liquidation last month, our accountant also ended up filing for bankruptcy at the start of March. As a result, that also meant we had to get the registered office for the company moved and re-registered with Companies House as soon as possible.
So the relevant form was downloaded from the Companies House site, printed out, filled in, and posted off on the 12th. Checking today, the registered office change has been processed, and is now part of the online record for the company.
I have to say, I’m impressed with the efficiency. I’ve said about it before, but Companies House really do tend to be disturbingly efficient – particularly when you realise they’re a branch of Government. It’s most unnatural – yet strangely reassuring.
As it is, we haven’t even updated the address details in the footer of this site yet – although now we’ve got the confirmation from Companies House, we’ll get that sorted today too.
