Oldham Housing Investment Partnership (OHIP)

OHIP are a housing investment partnership based in Oldham, Greater Manchester. During my work with Oldham council, we were asked to redevelop the OHIP site so that it looked more up-to-date, and also to update some of the pages etc.

The site was redesigned using CSS - with the additional side benefit of reducing the overall size of the site by 66%, from 1.8Mb to 600Kb. The original site's content had been created using Microsoft Word's "Save as HTML" function - which greatly increases the size of the resulting webpage, and additionally failed to validate to any accessiblity standards. Following the redesign, the site now validates against the W3C's XHTML 1.0 and CSS standards.
