While also working on the other OCR sites (OCR's main site, and GCSE Science site) we also created the approvals section of the OCR Nationals websitewhere centres (Schools, colleges etc.) could register their interest in teaching the new Nationals qualifications designed by OCR.
The section allows centres to enter their registered centre number, and then list the Nationals qualifications they plan to teach, along with when they plan to start, and how many pupils they intend to teach in each subject.
When submitted, the section emails the Nationals organising team at OCR with the information, and also stores it in a MySQL database for future reporting/reference by OCR.
In addition, a small password-protected reported section has been created, so that the Nationals team can download the database records on request, including a breakdown by date.
