Cognisence

Similar to No5, Cognisence was a business based in Reading, Berkshire that provided counselling services,using primarily online methods. They came to us with a recommendation from No5, asking for advice on how to set up the business through the website in the best way possible.

Working with this brief, Ozbon created the entire site for Cognisence, including an innovative system which included use of an IRC chat client to create a private (and encrypted) one-to-one online counselling session as well as the workflow and development for an 'offline' session, which was used to send private messages (also encrypted) between counsellor and counsellee, allowing the counsellor more time to think through a response without the immediacy of the chat system.

In addition, we created a secure password-access-only admin area which included functionality for to-do lists, a diary booking engine, a complete client management solution, payment systems (including integration with FastPay's credit-card authorisation software) and workflow arrangements.

Unfortunately the business no longer exists, and has since been used as a site for other purposes. However, I do have copies of the original code etc., should it prove useful in the future.
