Easington District Carer Support

Initially set up in 2002, the website for Easington District Carer Support (EDCS) is a fairly basic site. While I continue to be responsible for the site's maintenance etc., there has been very little development on the site. This is mainly down to the organisation being so hugely busy that they simply haven't had the time to provide the necessary content or direction for it.

I have also been the main technical support for both website and email account management, setting up email accounts, aliases and the like for EDCS on demand, and generally making sure that their email setup is stable and well-managed.

At the end of 2007, EDCS has moved over to a new site and domain. I remain in contact with EDCS in order to provide support if necessary with regards to the new site and migrating email accounts and the like over to the new domain.

In addition to the work on the website, I also worked on-site installing a wireless network, LAN and server within the EDCS office, and also started to develop a database solution to hold all the client data that is used on a regular basis by EDCS. This project was put on hold by EDCS when it was realised just how much work would be involved in migrating all the records into the database.
